NOW HIRING FOR NEW RECEPTIONINS/SALON COORDINATOR TO START JANUARY 1st!
Hello! We are looking for a part-time Salon Coordinator/Receptionist to join our team starting in January 2024.
Duties will be the following:
- Greeting each client upon arrival and offering them refreshments
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering phone calls
- Doing laundry throughout the work day
- Managing inventory and placing product orders
- Washing dishes / color bowls
- Emptying trash / recycling
- Keeping the salon clean and sanitized up to COVID-19 protocol
YOU are right for this position if you:
- Have a passion for the beauty industry
- Are good with people and have computer skills
- Have experience in retail/customer service
- Have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Consider yourself warm and charismatic
- Can anticipate the needs of others before they are communicated

Job Type: part-time
Pay: Depending on experience and duties preformed
Some flexibility but ideally looking for someone who can work 3-4 weekdays per week 6+ hours per day ( we can be flexible on start time with start no later than 11 am) Plus some SATURDAYS 10 -2.

Salary: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week

Tempest salon was formally known as Pin-Up salon. Ryan McCann worked at Pin-Up for seven years before taking over the beloved local institution at the beginning of 2017 and transforming it into Tempest salon. Our goal is to provide the highest level of salon services with innovative style and genuine originality. An alternative to cookie cutter hair salons.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a healthy environment for ourselves and our clients. This means minimizing the use of chemicals and using high end organic products whenever possible. We have a large space with high ceilings, good ventilation.
